Klarissa Gale
I’m a proud Baytown native and a GCCISD graduate. I attended grade school right here in Baytown and graduated from RSS in 2013. This is my first year as a school nurse, and it’s truly a dream come true. I have wanted to be a school nurse for many years, and I am so grateful to now live that dream every day. I am excited to care for our students and help keep our school community safe and healthy.
Fun fact: I met my now husband of 8 years in a 10th-grade Geometry class! We have two sweet sons: a 6-year-old and our newest little guy who is almost 4 months old.
My nursing journey: After high school, I attended Lee College before transferring to Lamar University in Beaumont, where I earned my Bachelor of Science in Nursing. While in college, I worked for 8 years as a Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) at our local hospital, learning so much from incredible nurses who helped shape the nurse I am today. After graduating, I returned to the same medical-surgical unit and worked there as a nurse for 1.5 years.
Message to our students: I chose to pursue nursing even when some people told me I would never become a nurse. I want every student at BJS to know this: YOU CAN DO ANYTHING YOU SET YOUR MIND TO. It may take hard work, dedication, and perseverance, but your dreams are possible. I am living proof!

Nurses Corner
Please help us keep your child safe by making sure your emergency contact information is up to date. If your child has a medical condition that needs attention at school, feel free to call the nurse at (281) 420-4560 ext. 60010.
- For the health of all students, please keep your child home if they have vomiting, diarrhea, or a fever over 100.0°F the night before or the morning of school.
- Students may return when they have been fever-free for 24 hours without medication and free of vomiting or diarrhea for 24 hours.
- Any signs of contagious illness (such as pink eye, impetigo, or an unexplained rash) should be checked by a doctor, and a doctor’s note is required for return.
Allergies or Medical Changes
- Please notify the nurse of any allergies or medical changes during the school year.
- A yearly doctor’s note is required for food or milk allergies, along with a treatment plan.
- If your child has an injury or recent surgery, a doctor’s note is needed to excuse them from PE or strenuous activity.

Immunizations
- Goose Creek CISD follows the Texas Department of State Health Services recommendation for immunization compliance in order for a student to attend school. The law requires that all students be as up to date as medically feasible in order to attend classes.
